MBC was awarded the WIFI clusters 6,7,8,9,10 & 12 working across 37 buildings at Manchester University campus.

Prior to starting this project MBC and our subcontractors worked closely with the Project team to liaise with the planning department to get the routes and AP’s agreed. This meant site surveys, report submissions and providing alternatives routes.

On listed buildings little containment could be used on these projects or had to run inline with existing containment which meant discussions with the ROCK team to identify if this would have an impact on the WIFI Distribution.

Each penetration was fire stopped by out inhouse accredited FIRAS Team.

Programmes where submitted and building users where informed prior to any works being carried out.

During the programme the works where carried out to suit the client, MBC was given short notice of when access could be made to buildings to undertake the works. MBC had issued a dedicated team who where on hand to meet the clients requirements during the project for access and deadlines. Some areas required a security member and these areas were booked in advance to allow the client to accommodate the requirement.
