Broomcroft Hall

Broomcroft Hall

MBC was instructed to remove the rotten timber conservatory. The original tiled floor had to be kept in good condition.

The client wanted a conservatory which was going to stand the test of time and due to conservation and planning the conservatory required the conservatory to be timber.

A subcontractor who we work closely with advised of the accoya timber.

(Accsys is able to transform fast-growing, sustainable wood into Accoya® wood. They take select wood types and transform their natural physical properties through the acetylation process. Acetylation is the process of preventing the cells in wood from being able to absorb water.)

A new roof was designed an installed so that access could be gained to maintain the gutters and provide the longevity the client required.

MBC discussed the design and helped with the planning application process in order for the university to obtain planning permission.
