The project consisted of the refurbishment of the mark two telescope. The project was part of essential repairs to the telescope & included concrete repairs, remedial works, mastic asphalt roofing, built up reinforced bitumen roofing and painting to the concrete structure of which the Mark II telescope sits. We also had to undertake steelwork repairs and bolt replacement to the main dish. A key element of the project was liaison with the control room and the observatory team to programme works around key observations
