The works consisted of Asbestos removal, Installation of curtain walling, new Mechanical and electrical installations internally with new ceilings, flooring, joinery works and decoration. 

During the contract period MBC contractors installed a temporary asbestos screen in each class room. The internal skin of the existing curtain walling was removed by our specialist asbestos contractor. Once the area was certified as clear the MBC operatives erected a temporary stud wall 1000mm from the existing curtain walling so classrooms could be reoccupied and used as usual. Works were coordinated so only one class room was taken out of action at a time. New curtain walling was erected behind the screen. Noise and dust was critical as classes were taking place on the opposite side of the temporary wall & therefore mechanical extracts were installed
