Description- The works were predominantly carried out in the Bluestone Lab 2.308 within the Alan Turing Photon Science Institute (PSI) Building.
Services were provided for 2no new furnaces installed within the Bluestone Laboratory. The works included:
- The removal of the existing flammable gas storage cabinets, complete with associated extract fans and ductwork
- The installation of a new process gas extract system serving the 2no new furnaces and the bubbling section of the new clean tent area
- Installation of new compressed air connections (off the existing system) to serve the new furnaces
- The installation of a new fume cupboard
- Modifications to the existing nitrogen and argon pipe work systems including the relocation of the cylinders
Electrical installations associated with the above works included:
- Works to main busbar distribution for new larger power supplies
- Adjustments and part renewal of existing services
- Electrical installation for mechanical services
- Adjustments and removal of existing services
