The works involved the strip out of all internal fixtures and fittings to the entire 3rd floor, while keeping the rest of the building still live to the public. MBC employed lift specialists to modify the lifts to ensure that they would not stop at this floor while the works are being carried out, providing a safe route for the public to still access the remaining areas of the building.
The works carried out the removal of axis louvre vented windows and replace with glazing, the removal of the powder coated metal casings to the perimeter heater units.
The installation of new floor coverings throughout, renewing the solar reflective film to all windows as well as redecoration works throughout the office area, toilet facilities and entrance lobby.
Within the lift lobby area the lifts had there casings removed with new curved aluminium casings installed.
