We are the main kit sponsor for of the Glossop Rugby Union Mens First Team. The fund go toward providing kit and equipment for the first team. Glossop have recently been promoted to level six & we hope that the extra fund can help push the team on further.
We appreciate that our time is almost as important as giving Money. In both 2018 & 2019 operatives helped the Glossop round table set up their local Charity Event. “The Glossop Bonfire”. Operatives donated their time to help set up the event & as a company we gave free use of vans, generators, plant and equipment & sponsored the event. The event is held by the round table to raise money which is distributed to various local Glossop charities. There is a cost associated with putting on an event and by offering free help and free use of plant and equipment this means costs of the event are reduced. The Event raised £16,500 last year which was distributed to local charities & foodbanks.
In addition we also sponsor the Glossop Round Tables Victorian Weekend Event and sponsored the sum of £1000 for sponsorship of the main stage. Again this is a local event with the purpose of raising money for local charities.
The Carl Marshall Project was a local project that hit the headline & was reported on by BBC News, Grenada Reports & various local media outlets.
Carl is a 94 year old retired park ranger with no family & is a regular at the local pub in the village where he lives. Mr Marshall lived in an outhouse which was in such a poor condition he was hospitalised several times because of the living conditions. This didn’t go unnoticed by his local pub who decided to raise funds and request help from local companies and volunteers to help refurbish his property.
In total about 50 volunteers worked on the project, raising £16,000 in donated cash and materials. When MBC Building contractors heard about Carls Situation we sent four joiners on full pay for two weeks to undertake all the structural timber works & stud walls.
